The four cardinal directions comprising of Uttar (North), Purva (East), Dakshin (South) and Paschim (West), along with the four intermediate cardinal directions Eshanya (North-East), Agneya (South-East), Nairutya (South-West) and Vayavya (North-West) make the Asta Dishas (the
eight directions) considered most in the science of Vastu. Apart from
these eight directions another two other directions are Urdhva (Above) and Adha (Bellow) that are added to make it Dasha Dishas
(Ten Direction).
These are the ten directions known to us and many of us have traveled in all these directions and we are very much familiar with them also. We are guided to all these directions by our well-wishers like our masters, teachers, friends, parents and many a times the company we are working in. Traveling to these ten directions has made man knowledgeable and has prepared him to live a decent life of adventure and exploration but has it helped him to find bliss or the eternal peace?
There is one direction which a very few venture into, it is their own Antarya (Inside). No one can lead anyone to that direction, it is by his own efforts one can tread towards it. One is aware of this direction when the other ten directions are not taken very seriously. Amazingly this eleventh direction is not like the other ten and it is not a direction at all in the first place. It is the place where the Self resides. The negation of the ten directions will yield this; it is like coming back home.
It is the central point, the point from where it all started like the hub of the giant wheel or a cycle wheel where the moving is felt but there is no motion. This is the point where it becomes only a witness to the periphery of the wheel. If one notice there is displacement in any part of a wheel while it is moving but the only point that does not have any displacement is the hub of the wheel even though there is motion. The hub of the wheel is rotating on its own axis. This is the place where there is no motion in motion. We travel to this Inner Self daily at our deep sleep state but as we are unaware we fail to remember the event yet with this unaware touch with the Inner Self our mind gets recharged. So, when we wake up from sleep, we feel refreshed, relaxed and as if full of strength.
The awareness of the Inner Self is need of the hour and once we are aware that we are align with the Inner Self then Inner Peace is experienced this is the threshold for Bliss. The Inner Peace is not which only yogis and adepts can attain but it is assessable to ordinary seekers also if there is intense effort to get aligned to Inner Self.
The journey into Inner Self for Inner Peace is a difficult trek though. At the onset we have to stop our senses from getting distracted from the ten directions and wage war against our own inner dwelling negative spirits like jealous, hatred, anger etc.., it is not a painstaking process if we choose to love and forgive rather than to hate, be thankful rather than being resentful, be understanding instead of prejudice. And ultimately just choose to be at peace, in peace and by peace. This way journey to Inner Self and finding Inner Peace will harbor within us and will manifest itself on the outside of us as well, and we will begin to see the world in a different light.

If we chose the path and have the knowledge and proceed in the correct direction surely we will reach. It depends on our sacrificing all other things for this goal.!!
