306. Bliss is nothing but Unburdening the Mind……!!

http://www.speakingtree.in/public/spiritual-blogs/seekers/mysticism/bliss-is-nothing-but-unburdening-the-mind

Bliss is not a state which is achieved after some rigorous practice in a secluded place. Also it is not got by accumulating the vast perpetual Knowledge. It is neither in the hands of any Guru nor even God. Bliss is always there and always will be in every one of us. It is never gone out of us even for a fraction of a second.

But many learned ones say that we have to experience Bliss? Yes, Bliss has to be experienced. But how can one experience Bliss?

A small analogy will clear as to how bliss is experienced. We have seen that in the onion mandi (Market) when the goods arrive from different places in trucks. The merchants hire unloaders to unload the onion sacks from the trucks. These unloaders carry the onion sack on their back and pile them at a particular place inside the mandi. As the onion sack which might weigh around fifty kilograms is loaded on their back they have that pressure on their back and this induces tension which is visible on their face. Once the sack is unloaded then that tension on the face vanishes.

As I have taken birth I have these loads of onion sack in the form of Vasanas (Tendencies) and Samskaras (Impressions) on my back called mind. I need to unload all of them. I may not be able to unload all of them in a jiffy as the unloader did in one go. If I take up spiritual practice by which I shed them one by one the load on my mind will automatically goes no reducing. The experience of reducing this unwanted load from my mind is itself experiencing Bliss. There is no point in unloading some and loading other which effectively will remain the same. If I make a resolve not to add loads to my mind and even a small amount of load unloaded will make me experience Bliss. Bliss is nothing but unburdening my mind with those which is not needed.

How to unload the unwanted burden in my mind? Self enquiry is the best way as it stops the flip flop of the mind. I have to begin with asking myself, “Who am I, what is holding this thought now and where does it coming from?” Self inquiry stops the mind going on too many tracks and puts it on the path to experiencing Bliss. It is not difficult to enquire. For example: suppose I have sinus headache and i visit a doctor. He asks me, "What did you eat yesterday?"  I tell him I had poori and bhaji. The doctor asks me to avoid deep fried items as it is not good for sinus and will prescribe me some medicine. Taking medicine is a ritual while avoiding fried food is Jnana (Knowledge). Ritual without Jnana is useless.

This is how the solution for every problem is approached. Getting back to the root is important. The Vasanas (Tendencies) and Samskaras (Impressions) which are the cause for the Bliss to be veiled have to be unveiled. It is not true that to experience Bliss mind has to be transcended, instead it can be used as a bridge. The most important thing is that the bridge has to be clean and tread able to make it clean and tread able one has to have the harmony in thought, word and deed. So ultimately it all boils out to having harmony in thought, word and deed………Am I Right???????

  2. In scriptures it is explained very well, what is mind what is individual soul, what is Cosmic soul .mind means a cluster of thoughts.Thoughts come from the source of desires. So the mind is always engaged in fulfilling them .So it forgets its own Source, which is called Supreme. If it can clear the thoughts the pure Supreme is always there.!!!!We are supposed to weed out the thoughts. For that many types of methods like meditation yoga rituals are given in the Sastras. The Light is burning always but covered..
