144. Doubt is a Relation of Jealous.......................

Doubt is a feel that we all have some time or the other. It is human to be doubtful occasionally, but if it becomes a habit it’s a problem. Doubt takes its birth from not being expressive or from lack of communication. A reserve or an introvert character fall prey to this disease. The doubts can be about relationships in particularly in a family or colleagues at work or our life in general. It creeps upon us and become a cause of worry.

Doubt in relationship may also be due to lack of confidence in the person involved, or for having a lot of expectations also. If one believes a person truly there is no need to have an iota of doubt about such a person. If the focus is on the positive aspects of a person rather than the negative feature then there is no place for doubt to come in-between those two.

Even in business the commitment stands only when it is without doubt. In early days a word of a person whom no one doubts was regarded far well than what was written on a stamp paper. The character of such person had more respect, and no one would dare to go against his word. Goutam Buddha says “There is nothing more dreadful than the habit of doubt. Doubt separates people. It is a poison that disintegrates friendships and breaks up pleasant relations. It is a thorn that irritates and hurts; it is a sword that kills.”

Doubting paralyses our mind it robs of our talent to think positive. It takes us to the dark alley and generates more and more of negative thoughts and takes us away from peace. In a way giving cent percent to a belief would get rid of doubting. By doing so at least we are not deprived of peace and sleep at night.

In a school ground a boy and a girl were playing marbles together. The marbles were the collection of the boy. The girl had brought some sweets from her home. The boy promised the girl that he would give all his marbles if the girl gives him all the sweets she had. The girl agreed.

In the collection of marbles the boy had a beautiful marble made of red coloured stone was his favorite. Since it was his favorite the boy kept the red marble aside and gave the rest to the girl. As promised the girl gave away all her sweets she had brought from her home.

That night the girl slept peacefully on her bed but the boy couldn't sleep as he kept thinking if the girl had concealed some sweets from him the way he had kept aside the red marble.
