109. There can be a Permanent Stop to Corruption!!!!!!!!
Corruption can be termed as to take hold of the wealth of others for the sake of comforts of our own body and for the comfort of our family members. If we deeply think about this matter we can understand that our body is like a seat in the train and our soul is the passenger seated on it. Our family members are just like the bench-mates in the same compartment of the train. For the comfort of our self and our bench-mates, if we trouble the other passengers in the train, it is Corruption.
Life is just a matter of a short train journey. After that entire struggle with the fellow passengers for comfort, the chances are that the bench-mates may have to get down in the next station. The bench-mates who have got down at their respective destinations and will not remember us thereafter. Even sometimes we will have to leave our seat before our bench-mates and move on. Which is more sensible to have a commotion with our fellow passengers in a short journey or spend a memorable and happy journey with co-existence?????
Anyway at death we have to leave our family members, whom we are unable to recognize in our next birth. After getting down from the train of this life, we have to face the interview with Absolute. There He will decide if we are to be granted eternal happiness or again a train journey with eternal misery.
Therefore, we must ponder on the preparation for this grand interview even during our journey through this life. We have to stop worrying about the comforts of our own seat or that of our bench-mates. We will have to leave our own seats and all the bench-mates behind anyway. The attachments with which we have with our bench-mates (family members) are temporary and unreal. Sri Sri Sankara says that whatever is temporary must be unreal also. The attachment which did not exist before and which will not exist in future, does not exist even in the present time. Such spiritual realization is a must for getting a permanent control over corruption.
Corruption can be avoided by imposing strict rules and regulations to some extent, but it can be permanently stopped only if there is a self awareness against it.
