The foundation of the Dharma concept is based on Karma Siddhanta. Every Hindu scripture from Vedas, Upanishad to Bhagavad-Gita have highlighted their importance on Karma. However even though it is a simple principle it is misunderstood very much. The many cause of the misunderstanding of Karma Siddhanta is our lack of ability to comprehend the notion of Law of Attraction. It is very much important not to equate both and come to a conclusion. It is better to understand them separately to have a better picture.
Karma Siddhanta says you reap what you sow, which means that if I am planting a mango seed I should expect mango fruit but not any other. It is as simple as that. But the catch is that the fruit of the action for your deeds whether good or bad or mixed are enjoyable by you (Subtle Body, ie mind and intellect index) in the next birth. Here the belief of reincarnation is more relevant. In simple words the fortune or misfortune that I am experiencing is due to the deeds committed by me in my previous birth, not necessarily a human only. This fortunes or misfortunes that are experienced by me are the Prarabdha Karma Phalas. But unfortunately we address the misfortunes alone as Prarabdha Karma which is by itself a mistake in the first place. Why do we do so???? It is simply psychological error in every human to connect self to the fortune because it puffs up our ego.
Law of Attraction is very simple it works on a three word formula ASK-BELIEVE-RECEIVE. It says whether or not one believes in it, we humans have a power to attract what we think of. If we think we are lacking something, we will continue to lack it for the whole life. This law equates us to magnets and explains that we attract or repel that which we think of. If our thoughts are positive we attract positive energy which may influence our life as well as the life of others whom we are concern with and at the same time if we have negative thoughts regarding their own life or the lives of others, we will attract negativity to our life and also to others. Even though it sounds very simple, it is not that very easy to implement within a person’s thought system. A person is able to invoke the Law of Attraction only if he is rigorously honest with himself and evaluates the thoughts with justifications, only then can a person truly begin to apply into thought and action the Law of Attraction.
In reality the Law of Attraction is nothing but a process where it educates the individual to do good Agami Karma (action done in this present life) in all the three stages of Thought, Word, and Deed. It is just a self development activity and has nothing to do with Karma Siddhanta at all. Karma Siddhanta is a law of Cause and Effect and never a law of punishments. It is just a learning process. The perception that Karma is a punishment law is a misconception and a misconstrued idea. Karma Siddhanta provides the energetic spirit to a person returning in different life times to learn from previous mistakes and become more aligned with the Absolute Consciousness.
There is another myth that Karma can be rectified by using astrology or by doing rituals to appraise the heavenly bodies, but one has to remember that it is not possible as our fate is determined at the time of birth. Yes, may be astrology or rituals can postpone the event but one can never erase the effects of the Prarabdha Karma Phalas.
Without the knowledge of the power of Law of Attraction some Self Development and Motivation course tutors ask the pupils to set the goal on the so called vision board and view them daily to get the confidence, but we have had people like A. M. Sadiq Batcha, the close aide of A. Raja of the infamous 3G scam who had a “VISION BOARD” which read “I will become the richest man on the Earth” and stuck on all the five mirror in his bedroom and bathroom to get motivated. There is nothing wrong in getting motivated but if it is not guided by the correct means to approach it is a concern.
Isn't it ???????
