171. Various Are The Ways To Attain The Absolute……….!

Divine Absolute can be experienced in many ways. It can be through Jnana, or Karma or Bhakti. Though these are the paths that our scriptures and our ancient Gurus have taught us, there are many more means but amazingly all of them will have the gist of any of the three paths mentioned. To acknowledge this we have to have Jnana. If theism was the one and only route to attain the Absolute then an atheist would not have a place here. It is not wrong to be an atheist but to be an ignorant and live a selfish life is much more dangerous than it. Let us consider what the means to attain Absolute are. Work or Karma whether it is good or bad does not matter. The work which we do may have intricate actions involved. It is only after the complications that unfold would we know that the work done by us has benefited or has hampered. Either way we are a step nearer to the Absolute. If this statement is wrong then Lord Krishna would not have told Arjuna to fight the war which had his best teacher his beloved great grand father in the opposite camp. Raja Yoga aims at controlling all thought waves in the mental realm and to reduce mental modifications. An individual in this practice is called Hatha Yogi and he starts his Sadhana, spiritual practice with Asanas (yogic postures) and Pranayama, (breath control), which are the prerequisite to meditation and concentration. Prayer or Ritual is a way to connect with the Absolute through consciousness. Some get connected in their pooja room and for some they have to go to a temple. For a Bhakta there is no harm in limiting harm the Absolute to be like human and offering Him what he eat and arrange sleeping bed for Him to take rest. A Bhakta knows how enchanting experience he get when he does these things. Jignasattva make a person know about the Absolute. He questions himself the inner meaning of his existence and involvement in this universe. He will understand that he is no more insignificant and he is every thing in this universe. Poets like Tagore have created a wonderful poem on nature and becomes immortal. Musician like M. S. Subbalakshmi have the capacity to render tunes which live for more that hundred times the life of the musician. The touch of a person like Mother Theresa has made may heal psychologically. But for all these paths to take shape it is our mind which is the pivot. Mind is the captain in the whole game of life. So to attain the goal the Mind has to be at peace and ever at Bliss. Mind is itself Absolute, so thinking in the right way is the threshold of the path. So Mind the Mind......!!!!!
